Barnabas Health Institute for Prevention to Host
Education Program for Separated or Divorced Parents
and/or Guardians

Monmouth County, NJ -- On Wednesday, July 18 and Wednesday, July 25, from 6 – 8 p.m., Barnabas Health Institute for Prevention will present Children in Between: An Education Program for Separated or Divorced Parents and/or Guardians. Both sessions will be held at Monmouth Medical Center’s Learning Center located at 300 Second Avenue in Long Branch. Cost is $75 per person. Attendees must participate in both program dates.

Barnabas Health Institute for Prevention’s Children in Between is an evidence-based divorce education program that teaches parents and guardians to identify and address the needs of children growing up between two homes. High conflict divorce increases the stress and anxiety typically experienced by children and can place them at risk for behavior problems, depression, delinquency, substance use, teen pregnancy, school failure and dropout, and suicide. In this course, parents and guardians gain tools to manage their conflict effectively and learn how to avoid putting their children in the middle of their personal, social and financial issues.

Registration is required. Please RSVP to Helene Long, at hlong@barnabashealth.org or 732-886-4159, no later than July 10.
