Toms River, NJ --  The Strengthening Families Program is a 14-week program involving both parents and their children and is designed to reduce risk factors and increase parenting skills, improve family organization and communication, and increase child social skills.

Strengthening Families is a state-wide, evidence-based substance abuse, delinquency and family skills training program funded by the N.J. Department of Human Services, Division of Addiction Services.

The program is recommended for parents and caregivers, and their children between the ages of 6 and 11.

The program will be held on 14 consecutive Thursdays beginning on Thursday, June 3 and concluding on Thursday, September 2 from 5-7 pm at Ocean Partnership for Children located at 1610 Route 88 West, Suite 303 in Brick, New Jersey.  A free dinner will be served for all participants.
