IS QUITTING SMOKING YOUR NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTION?

FREE Smoking Cessation Orientation Session
Tuesday, January 13 at 7 pm

Lakewood, NJ -----  Every year, we come up with New Year’s resolutions.  If yours happens to be quitting smoking, than you may need some assistance in kicking the habit.

Nicotine is a powerful drug found in all tob acco products. It is highly addictive like cocaine and heroin.  Tobacco smoke contains over 4,000 chemicals in addition to nicotine. Some of the toxic chemicals found in tobacco smoke are known to cause cancer.

Over 400,000 Americans die each year from smoking-related illnesses — more than from AIDS, alcohol/drug abuse, fires, car accidents, suicides and homicides combined.

Quitting Smoking is difficult to do alone.  Did you know that you can double your chances of quitting successfully by joining a support program?  Even if you are just considering quitting smoking, you should register today to attend this free orientation session on Tuesday, January 13 at 7 pm, and take your first step to a healthier, happier lifestyle.

This program will be held at Kimball Medical Center’s Center for Healthy Living located at 198 Prospect Street, Lakewood.  If you are interested in registering or would like more information, please call the Quit Center at 732-914-1688.  FREE.
