Candi Roman M.S.W., L.S.W.

As a Prevention Specialist, Candi Roman has worked at Saint Barnabas Behavorial Health Network for four years acting as a facilitator of life skill groups. In this capacity she works with at risk children and families in Essex County New Jersey. Ms. Roman’s considerable experience as a social worker includes advocacy and outreach to populations that involve children in foster care, adults and children who were sexually abused, and elder care.

Ms. Roman received her Bachelor Degree in Social Work from Ramapo College of New Jersey in 1997. She distinguished herself by earning the Student Achievement Award (1995), and by her internship at the Rockland Children’s Psychiatric Center, which recognized her with the Volunteer Award, (1994). In 1997, Ms. Roman was admitted to the first Advanced Standing Master of Social Work program at Hunter College School of Social Work in New York City. She was one of a select group to be accepted to this competitive program and earned her M.S.W. degree in 1998.
